Dearborn, Michigan – Ford has sold more than 2,000 of the all-new 2010 Transit Connect small delivery vehicle in the U.S. in its first full month of sales. The trucks are selling in fewer than ten days of arriving on dealer lots, significantly faster than the industry norms.
Early Transit Connect buyers represent a cross-section of the small business landscape, including caterers, door and lock companies, painters, electricians, carpet installers and cleaners, and restaurant suppliers. The vehicle has a payload similar to that of a full-size half-ton pickup truck.
The model will go on sale in Canada later this year.
