Oak Park, Michigan – Electric versions of the Ford Transit Connect and walk-in and cube vans will be coming to Canada through a new agreement with Azure Dynamics, which provides electric powertrains for the vehicle. Azure has signed new sales and service agreements with seven Canadian dealerships, in addition to previously-announced dealership agreements in Edmonton and Toronto.
The new agreement brings a total of 103 dealers to Azure’s program. Many of the dealerships will maintain an inventory of ready-to-deliver vehicles, the company said.
“In just seven weeks since we posted an interactive dealership location map on the product section of our Web site, that page has been visited more than 37,000 times,” said Mike Elwood, vice-president of marketing for Azure. “This reflects the strong interest in the products themselves and underscores the many reasons dealerships are eager to represent Azure products in the field.”
The new Canadian dealers are Eastcourt Ford in Toronto; Freedom Ford Sales in Edmonton; Jim Keay Ford Lincoln in Orleans, Ontario; Landau Ford in Winnipeg; Leblanc Ford in Montreal; Oakland Ford Lincoln in Oakville, Ontario; and Richport Ford Lincoln in Richmond, B.C.
