Detroit, Michigan – The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit will host its annual amateur photography contest, with five winners taking home cash prizes of US$200 each.

Open to all ages, the contest opens on Tuesday, January 19, and offers early admission to the show that day at 8 a.m., with the purchase of an admission ticket. Winners will be selected in five categories.

“We’ve always said that the cars are the stars of the show, and this gives the public an opportunity to really show us what they see as the best and the brightest through the eyes of their lens,” said show chairman Doug Fox. “This year, the NAIAS will be home to hundreds of vehicles ranging from economical hybrids, to top-of-the-line luxury models. This contest enables the guests of the show to participate in a unique way, and encourages amateur artists to look at the show from a different perspective.”

Photos can be taken on any day of the public show, from January 16 to 24. For more information, visit NAIAS.
