As Nissan USA plans to sell the previous Rogue alongside the redesigned model next year, Canadian customers will not get the same choice

Nissan USA has decided to continue production of the current Rogue, giving it the Rogue Select moniker for 2014. It will be sold alongside the new-for-2014 Rogue at Nissan dealers in the US.

In Canada, there are no plans to continue offering the current model.

When asked for comment, Nissan provided the following statement:

Based on local market studies, Nissan will not be offering in the Canadian market, the Rogue Select alongside the all new MY14 Rogue, scheduled to be on sale by December 2013. This new vehicle will be assembled in Smyrna, Tennessee. The all new MY14 Nissan Rogue will showcase a level of quality, technology and comfort that delivers on Nissan’s brand promise; Innovation that excites.

The new Rogue will use the same 2.5L four-cylinder engine as its predecessor but gain new interior and exterior styling along with upgraded options.
