Drop-top Opel Cascada could find its way to North American market as a Buick.
Dan Akerson, chairman and CEO of General Motors, has expressed interest in bringing Opel’s droptop Cascada to North America as a Buick, reports Automotive News.
During a meeting with investors at GM’s proving grounds, Akerson expressed regret that GM developed the Cascada and Opel’s subcompact Adam to be sold in China but not in the US. He said both products would look great in the Buick portfolio.
GM North America President Mark Reuss said last month that Buick is ready for “something special,” and the Cascada would surely fit the fill for the brand that’s trying to bring down its customer’s average age.
