Toronto, Ontario – Buick unveiled the new 2013 Encore small luxury SUV for the first time in Canada at the Canadian International Auto Show today.  It goes on sale in early 2013.

Powered by GM’s “Ecotec”1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, the Encore features 10 standard air bags, Buick’s voice-activated IntelliLink which uses Bluetooth or a USB to connect the driver’s smartphone to a high-resolution, full-colour seven-inch LCD display radio, and a quiet cabin that features Buick’s first use of active noise cancellation technology.  All-wheel drive is available.

With room for five people and up to 48.4 cubic feet (1,372 litres) of storage space with the rear seats folded, the Encore’s cargo space is greater than the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.

The Encore will be on display at the Toronto auto show through February 26th.
