Only 300 examples of special, limited run M5 will be available worldwide

If you are a diehard BMW fan with infinitely deep pockets and a history of BMW loyalty, you might be able to get your hands on the latest offering from Munich.

With only 300 units slated for worldwide availability, the “30 Jahre M5” won’t be a car you can just check out at your local BMW dealer. Though, that’s because it’s no normal M5.

For starters, the limited M5 will get a boost of output to 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, a bump of 40 hp over the standard model, making it the most powerful BMW ever produced. This gives the car a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.9 seconds onto a top speed of 245 km/h.

Competition Package upgrades are also included, consisting of a 10 mm suspension drop with a firmer spring/damper setup, along with more direct mapping for the Servotronic steering and a more sport-tuned M Dynamic Mode.

Along with the go-fast goodies, BMW will add “30 Jahre M5” badging throughout along with serial production numbers, BMW Individual treatments, and Frozen Dark Silver metallic paint. The whole package rides on 20-inch bi-colour M light-alloy wheels with 265/35ZR20 and 295/30ZR20 staggered rubber.
