2008 BMW X6
Whitby, Ontario – BMW Canada has announced that the all-new 2008 X6 will start at $63,900. The X6 xDrive35i will arrive at retailers on April 26, followed by the xDrive50i later in the summer.
The X6 xDrive35i features a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder with twin turbochargers and direct fuel injection, producing 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The engine was named International Engine of the Year and launches the X6 from zero to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, with a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
The X6 xDrive50i debuts with an all-new 4.4-litre V8 engine with twin turbo technology, direct gasoline injection and dual-VANOS infinite camshaft management. It produces 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful “X” model in the company’s line-up. The xDrive50i will start at $78,100.
Standard features will include a sunroof, heated leather sports seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and twelve-speaker stereo. The X6 xDrive50i will also include a standard navigation system and self-levelling rear air suspension.
