The big Audi with a hatchback gets an aggressive nip and tuck

Audi has revealed details and images for the 2015 Audi A7 and S7 Sportback models, featuring a comprehensive but subtle design update while also boosting output to their engine lineup. However, the five-door executive sedan will still use the same basic platform.

Exterior changes are mainly to front and rear fascias. A new ‘Singleframe’ grille is affixed to the front, along with a new front bumper and standard LED headlights. At the rear, new tailpipes and bumper are put to use, giving the car an overall more aggressive look.

While the A7 can be had with up to five different powerplants, we will receive the same 3.0-litre turbocharged gasoline V6 and 3.0-litre TDI V6 in Canada. Output for the diesel has been increased from 240 hp to 272 hp.

The S7 will receive similar visual and mechanical upgrades. Its 4.0-litre TFSI powerplant has also received a bump in output, from 420 hp to 450 hp.

Updated A7 and S7 models will be available late this summer in Europe. Canadian pricing has not yet been announced.
