Montreal, QC – The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has released the names of the three finalists for the ‘Canadian Car of the Year’ award during the Montreal International Auto Show this morning. The Honda Accord, Hyundai Elantra GT and Porsche Boxster are all on the short list to win this coveted award.
Both the Hyundai Elantra GT and Honda Accord have won comparison tests here at Autos.ca, and the Porsche Boxster is considered by most of our staff as one of the best sports cars on the road today, period. So it is anybody’s guess as to who will take away the honours of ‘Canadian Car of the Year’.
Canadian Utility of the Year finalists were also announced today and it should come as no surprise that the two finalists are the two utility vehicles that won their classes during AJAC’s Testfest this past fall. The two utilities are the Ford Escape 1.6L and the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.
The last group of finalists announced today is for the ‘Best New Design’ award and features three gorgeous vehicles; the Cadillac ATS, the Porsche 911 Carrera S and the Porsche Boxster. Again, this will be a tough category to find a winner.
All winners will be announced at the Canadian International Autoshow in Toronto on February 14th, 2013.
