Over-promise and under-deliver, Subaru does it again with production Legacy

Set to officially debut at the Chicago Auto Show this month, the 2015 Subaru Legacy has leaked thanks to a few very well known automotive forums.

Subaru had teased the production version of the Legacy last week, highlighting its silhouette which is very similar to that of the Legacy Concept. Unfortunately, that seems to be where the similarities end, as the production Legacy gets the same staid corporate face as the new WRX.

While no official information is available, Subaru is expected to drop the Legacy’s six-cylinder option in favour of a full four-cylinder engine lineup. 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre boxer engines could be on offer, with a range-topping 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer four at the top of the range.

Full details will be available later this week.
