New 6.2-litre LT4 V8 is not your grandpa’s pushrod

When the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 arrives at the end of this year, it will come with one wallop of an engine under the hood in the form of a 6.2-litre supercharged LT4 V8.

General Motors, in a release today, stated the new motor will develop 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque at its peak. But, the real news is how much torque is available virtually everywhere else in the rev-range.
