Next week, Jacob Javits Center in New York City opens its doors to display the hottest new metal from around the world. Here’s a run down of what to expect.
2014 Dodge Durango Gets Charger Taillight Treatment, New Diesel
The refreshed-for-2014 Dodge Durango will officially be revealed in New York, the most noticeable exterior change being an updated taillight treatment a la Charger.
There will also be significant additions in the driveline department, with the 3.0L diesel offered in the Grand Cherokee making its way to the Dodge branded sibling. It will be mated with the much-touted, fuel efficient 8-speed automatic.
2014 SRT Viper TA Shows Off Bright Orange Snakeskin
The 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack) is a 33-copy special ready to rip it up on the road course with a special handling package and unique orange paint. While prepped to take on any chicane, hairpin, or long straight, it is completely street legal.
“The new 2014 SRT Viper TA is being engineered for the dedicated track enthusiast, who still wants to drive to the track and take their hobby to the next level,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO – SRT Brand and Motorsports.
Just make sure you don’t pitch it into an Armco so you can still drive home at the end of the day.
Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid World Premiere And New Performance Concept In New York
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid is Subaru’s first production hybrid and will be shown at Jacob Javits Centre next week.
Also, in the same press release, Subaru announced they would reveal “a concept version of its performance model.”
This is all we have at this point.
Chevrolet Teases Refreshed 2014 Camaro SS Prior To New York
In what is probably one of the worst teasers in recent memory, Chevrolet has given us a sliver of the grille of the new Camaro SS. Lame.
GM isn’t spilling any details about the new SS. The updated model will be displayed beside the all-new Corvette Stingray and Chevrolet SS performance sedan.
New Range Rover Sport Gets Outed Then Teased Prior To New York Unveil
The Range Rover Sport will see a prominent place on the show floor in New York next week. But, if you want to know what it will look like, just glance to the left.
After being outed on the interwebs, Land Rover took to YouTube for a drive around New York with the new SUV. You can see it here.
2014 Acura MDX Will Break Cover In Production Form In New York
Shown in concept guise earlier this year in Detroit, the new 2014 Acura MDX will be displayed in road-going form in New York next week.
The new crossover will receive the same 3.5L V6 found in the RLX, powering either two or all wheels. In addition to a longer wheelbase to improve ride quality, the new MDX will be loaded up with many of the safety and fuel efficiency features found on the RLX.
Honda To Show Off Refreshed 2014 Odyssey With New Features
Yes, this is the official teaser for the new minivan – the Odyssey logo made with Cheerios. At least Honda knows its target market.
The new 2014 Honda Odyssey is a refresh, bolstering its resume with new features and updated looks. Don’t expect too much to happen here.
Toyota Will Unveil All-New Highlander During Live Webcast From New York
The all-new Highlander will get some time in the limelight in the Big Apple.

The Scion tC, a stalwart of American sororities, will get replaced with a new model for 2014. We will get to see its new metal next week.
