2015 Mercedes-Benz B250 4matic
« on: December 04, 2014, 01:33:36 pm »
So somehow this slipped by me, I didn't realize that Mercedes was adding a 4matic option to the B250. It's on the MB site now, starting at $33,500 ($2400 more than a FWD model). You can of course load up the options; I was able to price one to $45,714 (including 3 years prepaid maintenance).

This is a great addition to this model IMO. Kudos to Mercedes for building this car.

Finally - I couldn't work out why it wasn't already available. I still can't afford one!

Neither can I!!! ;D

DO WANT!!!

This is the ultimate family mover.  Now if only they had added a BluTECH option!

Just looked at the options.  The AMG Package has those same ugly 5-spoke wheels all the other cars have.  Too bad they did away with the nice looking gunmetal rims from the 2014 model.

No HID lighting option either.

I actually like those wheels, but they also offer two other 18" options (one without AMG, and black wheels with AMG).

There are some oddities too.  No leather option without AMG either.

The more I look at this, the more it becomes evident that Mazda needs a serious update of the Mazda 5.

Nice find! I like this version vs the previous model, just looks so much better. Now this being very well equipped model for < $40K vs what a fully loaded Golf Wagon 1.8T-4 Motion would be.  I'm thinking its going to be close.

^^ I dunno. Was the FWD B-Class ever a legitimate GTI competitor?

I wouldn't expect the 4Motion car to be any sportier than the FWD version.

It was cool when the first B-class offered a turbo + manual combination but I doubt it offered anywhere near the driving dynamics that the GTI did and still does.

that's a smart move! this is officially the cheapest AWD car you can get from a luxury brand.

Good point. Sales of the B-class haven't been great this year but I'm sure this will give them a boost.

A much more interesting proposition now. It appears that the interior has also been upgraded, in particular you now get the same screen as on the 2015 C-Class when you pick the NAV option. Much better than that hideous old tiny screen.

(above picture has leather dash which surely will not be available on the Canadian model, but the screen is)

I priced out to a touch over $40k as I'd have it (Premium/Nav + "Versatility Package", whatever that is, plus LEDs).
Another little sop is that they've apparently split the KEYLESS GO off as its own $700 option.
$1500 sport package is pretty decent pricing if you want to go that way but I think it looks fine as is.

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

That screen's an eyesore. Looks like an afterthought.  Looks like someone glued an iPad to the dash.

Same thing in the C class.  Seen a 2014 3 series lately?  Not quite as bad, but same kind of thing.  I'd be concerned that an addict in a downtown TO garage would smash the window thinking it was a GARMIN for street resale.  :)

Yeah, we (as a forum) have been over that dead horse a few times. I personally don't mind this incarnation one bit.

MB can make a car drive by itself, but can't make an integrated or retracting screen.   ;D

The Rondo has AWD now?  Methinks not.
