The dealer I used had one... $117K  probably 'cos it had that fancy matt paint finish in battleship grey.  I normally don't like coupé bodies but this one...I agree with Brendan that it is an exceptional car.

Well base is $116k. Nardo grey is one of the standard colors. Not usually a fan of grey but that one looks pretty fantastic.

I was at LeMans this year. Audi was there too....

Nardo's almost a clay-grey, isn't it? I've seen it on an R8 V10 before, neat colour.

Awesome car. The CLS63S is the more likely alternative from Mercedes.

 :iagree:

Audi hit it out of the park with the 7s. This sounds like a beast.

What a great article, very well written!! As for the car, the drivetrain is a masterpiece, I think the sweet baby jesus had a hand in the interior and from most angles outside it beautiful and aggressive.....and then you get to that rear 3/4 view and it goes from being Esmeralda to being Quasimodo.....
Lighten up Francis.....

A spectacular car and an article to match. Well done!

In fairness to Fob, there is an angle from the rear 3/4 in flat light where you do blink once or twice and say WTF? There was a white A7 the local airport where I noticed it. Maybe all the coupe/sedans have the same weakness.

Not so dramatic but a tiny bit of this:

...looks good...looks good...woa! What the hell was that?

I've decided I don't much like the hatch profile. Ditto the BMW "gran coup" stuff. It is a bit quasimodo.

The CLS I believe retains a sedan-like thing, the extra turn in the profile that defines the trunk.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!
