The Panamera GTS is just another practical hatchback, says Peter Bleakney, save for that $150,000 price...

I'm a big fan of the carmine red exterior and the Alcantara interior with red trim. I know people love to hate the Panamera but I think they look fantastic.

Gawd, I wonder how much profit they've built into these bombs? $1000 bucks a piece extra, over the regular wheels?  They don't appear to be gold...$3500 for the red paint , over the regular crappy paint?  I'm thinking somebody has to go to jail for theft here...I guess if you got it...Waste it!
Thanks for a nice review   Jack

I like it a bunch as well. If I were fortunate enough to be shopping in this bracket, this would be very high on the list.

As much as I like this car I would save $50k and settle for a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

It's funny how I used to dislike this design and now it's one of my favourite.  I would most likely get the Panamera over anything else in the price range.  Mine would be white with the same black wheels as the one featured.

Second that. Panamera hasn't aged well in my eyes. It went from "love it" to "meh".
Yeah, I got a chuckle on the "settle" too  ;D

My Porsche buying dollars would go to a 911     or a totally restored 928S.

I'd take the GTS over an S Class or 7 Series.

Nice car by all specs and real world performance, but it just looks like someone just made a limo version of a 911 and it failed. The look just does not work for me.
I understand it's a Porsche and bordering exotic level but $20,260 in options huh. At what point does this get ridiculous.  Better off just getting a 911 and something like a Land Rover to haul the gang.
At this price I'd bite the bullet and get 2013 Tesla Model S if I really wanted to stand out and need a 4 door.

The Panamera is one of these cars that look better in person than in pictures.

I got to drive the press fleet metallic-green Panamera Hybrid that was featured here a few times. It's surprisingly nimble in traffic, and the driving position was higher than what I thought it would be. And it was a green car, so ...

My biggest question is what about the Hello Kitty package? That would be a smash hit with the people around here who actually but this bloated, hideous contraption. Selling the Hello Kitty Package would easily add an extra $20k on the bottom line.

I don't mind the look so much and the black wheels look great too.

Having said that, I'd take the 2013 S8 over this one for its timeless looks.

I actually like the styling of the Panamera. I'd rock one to accompany the V8 Vantage that would undoubtedly be its garage neighbour.
