Black Friday was expensive.

Ipad Air 2 ( $100 off at staples)
Klipsch Headphones
250GB SSD
Bluetooth Dongle
And a Moto X Play (though that is admittedly something whose cost is mostly covered by warranty)
I also pick up an iPad 2 64 for my wife

Wow today was productive.

Painted closet and bedroom walls that I had to fix holes / plaster, also sanded the plaster.

Cleaned my fire place.

Put new belts in race car.  Also wired up the rain light.

Vaccuumed

Fixed caulking in shower.

put out x-mas decorations.

Mine was productive as well.  And I am on vacation!

Went through the kids dressers and closets, got 3 bags of clothes to donate.  Went through mine, nothing to donate.  I am afraid of wife's closet, so I stayed away.  So I did the main floor closet.  3 loads of laundry.  After that vacuumed each floor.  1/2 the Christmas shopping is done.  And the outdoor lights are up.  Interior decorating tomorrow.  Both cars haven't moved all day...

Friends coming over, after supper (making trout and risotto).  Not sure what to play, poker, spades, hearts, scene it?, headbands, risk.  Guess we shall see...

Have one of those. Thought it was a POS when Mrs.Firm brought it home, 3-years later it's still working great, so I guess I was wrong. Used it today actually.

I love that...We have one of those days every few months and it's actually really nice to not touch a car for once.
Had a similar day....only came out with one bag of clothes for donation, but I cleaned up the basement and tossed a bunch of junk. Hit the mall and finished my Christmas shopping, then wrapped it all.

Every few months eh?  Ha Ha, poor guy.  The van often sits in the drive way 4-5 days without being moved.  And if it does get moved, it's to go to the pool, or the grocery store.

It's really only my wife taking the Mazda to work that gets exercise...  Creeping past 15k now after 13 months of ownership...Crazy!  Van has 213k...

Originally thought I would buy out the Mazda after the lease (3 years to go).  But most likely will go with an SUV, and keep the van till it dies.... And when it dies, see how low long we can last on one vehicle...   Maybe by then, there will be a bus that goes to the new hospital in Oakville...

Finally got a chance this weekend to put together the TV stand that arrived early last week.  Our 37" Sony tv has been sitting on a ill fitting coffee table in our den/office for the last few years while I resisted my wife's repeated requests to mount it on the wall.  I've been resisting because the wall would need to be reinforced and I would have to run a power outlet behind it for a clean install.  It would also have to be mounted on the far end of the wall which means using an articulating mounting bracket in order to hinge the TV out into the room for proper viewing and I hate that look.  The wireless receiver also allows us to move it anywhere there is a power outlet.

My wife was a little skeptical at first, but that changed when I rolled it into a position where she could watch TV while she worked away in the kitchen.  It is built really well, lools good and rolls nicely on the solid rubber casters.  It was priced well imo at $185 as a good wall mount would be close to that and then all the labour to install it added on top.

Picked up a Chromecast Audio for the stereo in the kitchen.  Very impressed with it.

Easy to set up, easy to use and much better sound than Bluetooth.  Is also nice that once you get an app (songza, Spotify, etc) playing music your phone is no longer needed.

Bought this with a manual trans

She doesn't look like a trans, that's really impressive.

Getting ready to renovate our master bedroom over the Christmas vacation. I was set on just replacing the carpet, but Mrs.Firm fought hard for hardwood ;)
So I picked it up this weekend as it was on sale at Lowes.

WTG Mrs.Firm, 2 years ago, we replaced all the carpet upstairs with a premium laminate.  Have to with pets.  Wanted to go hardwood, even had the budget for it.  But doesn't last as long with the kids, and the pets.

I don't have much going on, if you need a cutter I can cut, you install...
