I like that Pontiac, and if you want something that you/your son can actually drive it would be by far the most reliable and practical of the bunch.

The Jeep....I don't get it, looks like a ton of work.

I sort of want you to buy the Spitfire just because I want to see how the swap was done, lol. IF it's not hacked up then swapping back shouldn't be too difficult; but I could see little details like wiring and cables (speedo specifically) being annoying.

My only worry with the Laurentian is that it is a four door and therefore worthless to most people. Might be hard to sell.

There you go a brown manual wagon. It's what everyone wants . But it's not a diesel. ;D
It must have been rare in that configuration. Most of those cars were sold, slant six automatics.

^ Nice buy!  That is so much more appealing to me than any exotic.  Besides, I could probably do general maintenance and most repairs on that myself.

Btw, what is the purpose of the chrome brackets attached to the bumperettes?

We've come a long way! That old barge had brakes that would look tiny on a modern Civic, cowl shake that made you wonder if the steering column was unbolted, a 8.1 L V8 FWD that returned an honest 10 mpg, and I've driven house boats that had more steering feel (handled about the same too), but boy, she had character!

I'd love to find a 76-78 model, white on white with a nice set of horns on the hood.

I know nothing about classic American cars, but those things were FWD?  ???

Did that 8.1 L V8 put out like 180 HP?  :rofl2:

Yep, FWD with a completely flat floor, Caddy made a big deal about that back then. Don't floor it with the wheels not pointed straight lol. 71 was one of the last years of decent HP, these were rated at 365HP, though mine never felt that lively. By the mid 70's they were down to 190 HP. I had a 1970 Coupe Deville with a 472ci that felt way stronger (those were RWD)

Powder blue on white leather, no horns. But you'd have to wear dark glasses and a really pimpin' hat to drive it!  Perhaps even a suit with a pink jacket?    ;D :P

There is a BRG one with tan leather one around Guelph...seen it a few times.
