Do most manufacturers have that kind of a system?

Seems like a great way to keep people from harassing the dealer.

Not that I know of.  Found out about it on mustang6g.com

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16942

Some members manage to post a snap shot of the Cotus graphic.  Not me.  :P     The graphic illustrates the exact vehicle with exact options; exterior and interior.

Someone at Ford is on the ball.

Double edged sword perhaps.  The speed at which vehicle is made depends on the Priority Number assigned by Ford.  My purchase was a Dealer to Dealer courtesy from a store that we share a property line with.  They own a few Ford stores and they called Oakville and got me a Priority Number of UNO (1).

Now if Joe Blow orders his vehicle and gets a number from 10-19 then it could be 16 weeks depending on the vehicle and the demand of course.

Too much, eh!

It was a surprise to me too.  Post Xmas in the north does funny things to the mind.  Makes you want to buy things.  Traded my travel trailer in on a new, much better one.  That purchased lasted about a month.  Then the urge returned.  Looked at the P-car sitting in the garage which was, at that very moment in time, trouble free and saw X dollars.  So what can you get that isn't ridiculously priced for light summer duty that has some fun factor, I can fit into, and can take some luggage/provisions ?    My list was really short.   Although, would not have bought a 2014.  The 2015 Stang drop top has had substantial upgrades.

My Ford dealer friends told me that Cotus did not work for Canadian customers.  Honestly, disconnects like this are rampant in anything one ventures into.  :P   If not for mustang6g.com I'd have missed all the fun!

So the "window sticker" is loaded with coding that is Greek to me so I PM'd Ford Customer Service in the US and 2 hours later they confirmed some of the coding.  Awesome PR.  The actual build date is to commence April 27th.  They refer to this as the Blend date. Glad the Detroit Lions are not in session if in fact the car gets built on a Monday.  :)

The car is being shipped by RAIL according to the spec sheet.  ???   Dealer was adamant it was coming by car carrier to London and then up here.  ???

Ford and Toyota to name two are having problems getting vehicles shipped by rail.  :o

Just bored.  18 days to go .... maybe  :D

Pic is same trim, namely option 015A

Jury is still out on the front look.    Wonder if aftermarket will have replacement grill with the traditional 2 big *ss driving lamps installed.  That make for a lot of lights.  ;D

I'm very much at peace with the rear appearance.  However, the midas mufflers and the wiener tips have got to go.  Was contemplating a muffler delete, but with 4 inch polished tips and custom piping and welding I'm not to far from the DIY Roush axle back price.

Actually not completely at peace with the rear look.  That horse with the vertical bar is going.

Mercifully, Ford adequately fixed the wheel gap problem for 2015.  Wasn't going down the road of lowering springs, camber plates, and endless alignments.

Artic you are presenting the symptoms of  New Car Fever.  A serious case I think.  Easy to catch around here.    ;)

Saw a blue one with white stripes yesterday, looked pretty good though I'm still not completely sold on the styling of this car.

I've seen quite a few new Mustangs just in the last week and I think they look great.  Certainly an evolution of the design, but not as subtle in the flesh as in photos.  The rear end in particular looks like it has a much wider track and is more rakish than the older model.  I still see quite a resemblance to the Volvo 60 series in the front end though, which is not a bad thing, but it does give it kind of a swollen mouth look... :-\  It still looks much better overall than the last version.  I'll reserve my opinion on the interior design though until I get a good look at it as I found that was a particular weak point on all the older versions.

Stopped at the millionaire LCBO on the way home to pick up a few pops and parked near a new black GT. When I got back I was checking it out and the owner walks up and we chatted. All the AMG, 911, Maserati, Lambougini, and others that pulled in to get there tiny bottles of wine looked perturbed we were not paying any attention to them...lol.

Man, if you want to see every exotic car made on this planet set up a lawn chair with a cooler on a Saturday afternoon and watch the parade.

I have seen in the flesh as well.  I only liked (not loved) the previous gen, to me this is even less appealing.  It appears Artic is "not at peace" with all the styling either.  Hence all the mods, deletes, and "can this be changed".  Not sure I would buy a brand new car, if I didn't love it as is...  Performance mods are different, they usually don't affect the appearance...It is a good value. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I guess we will see a comparo in a few months when the 2016 Camaro comes out.  Quite interested in that.

That "not at peace" referred to the giant horse glued on the back panel.  ;D

This is my reference to the appearance ... " Jury is still out on the front look".    It's quite a departure from the past.  I like the lights, so far neutral on the fusion derived snout. In the flesh, I've only seen a GT coupe in a Ford store in Waterloo.  Triple yellow GT PP.  Just that colour and giant black wheels will blind one self.  I haven't been able to sit down with a beer on the driveway and just take the car in.  It's just pics so far.  However, this new vert composition is light years ahead of the previous gens IMO, of course!

Hence all the mods, deletes, and "can this be changed".

Now your just trying to bother me.  :-X    I'm changing some minor tranny parts and the crappy exhaust.  Removing the *** 1/4 inch spoiler is a Ford factory option so someone at Ford must feel the same way.  :)

^^ Not trying to bother, just repeating what you said.  You haven't driven it?   ???   And doesn't the modifications void the warranty?  Changing transmission parts?  Would the transmission still be under warranty?
