^^^ Back when Calgary had a 1/4 mile track this guy had a Volare in the same color, slant 6 with a single turbo. The old beast was all stock internals and would run steady mid 13's. He had a sticker on the rear window- "leaning tower of power"

That old six sounded terrible, but made some great power. I have respect for those engines since.

The slant six responds well to low-pressure turbos.

Those Reatta rags are cool. $20K is absolute top of the price ladder though, guys are asking that much for the coveted "select sixty" edition. I miss my black coupe.

I was going to say you should seek medical help, then I remembered I have a thing for Mustang II's.    We're both obviously ill in the head.  :P

Being RWD, it was fun in the winter, and I took it to the drag strip in summer.  I could do minor repairs in my driveway.  I miss the simplicity.

Yeah, if it was a GT-S I could see it going for that much but an automatic SR5 is not exactly desirable.

^Me too.
Rust on the rear quarters could be an indication that the rear tubs are rotted out, which is pretty common and basically makes the car scrap (unless you've got a lot of time and metal skills); but I have seen some with surface rusty quarters and clean tubs, so it can go either way. Rest of the car looks solid and complete. Any 3rd gen car that isn't a Z28/Iroc/Trans Am has an oddball appeal to me since you really don't see them anymore.

Been watching this thing since the spring, price has dropped, I gotta new gig that's gonna pay me more, might be a sign.

I'll be able to cruise around with Vantage.
