I find the whole Mini line up "Butt Ugly" in general.

Welll..I don't find it ugly at all; rather a competent and interesting design. Well proportioned for it's size with appropriate curves for such. I don't think though that it's competition is as stated. Personally I would have thought that the Fiat 500 is the only competition at the moment. I don't care about relative hp I suspect both of these vehicles draw a similar audience; looking for something different from the madding crowd. I like it a lot but am drawn to the 500 by purse string restraints.

For the $40K you pay for this thing....ill take an MX5 all day over it. RWD and the Miata is a very good looking car.
Lighten up Francis.....

How can you possibly like the 500?? There is no bench seat available  ;D I still dont get why you would possibly want a bench seat in a car........

As someone who was a "brick pilot" once I'd take the Miata as well.  Although I could be swayed by a JCW mini at $20k new.

I'm with you. I like the Mini and the 500.
