are you serious?  You think that my saying jokingly, albeit without 'emoji' support to obviate my tone, that my partner and I are not on speaking terms because she didn't clear the snow off her car, thereby creating a danger to herself and others on the road, makes me misogynistic?!

i don't know why i'm even commenting and fueling this... but i've already started!

talking about being firm with a significant other about something they are wrong about is not equivalent to being misogynistic and sexist. while we all may use different tact and word choice, as long as there is shared respect between the parties involved, i hardly think you have any right (or place) to suggest she dump him.

i only comment due to a similar comment you made to me when i jokingly stated that i "knocked up" my wife (as in, we were pregnant). some of us are capable of having a relationship that involves humour and tongue in cheek without being douchebags.

i mean this with full respect, but i think sometimes there is a culture/language barrier that separates these types of comments from you.

From the context, I read it that he was confirming his statement.  Rather the antonym of 'obviate's' meaning.

There was a pickup as I was driving on ON Hwy 416 to Ottawa today with plenty of snow drifting off his truck bed cover. Now I know what blizzard you all are talking about.....

I've been really tempted at times when I see someone who hasn't cleared off their car - at say a gas station, a mall or whatever - to bust out my brush in front of them and clear the car for them...... saying SEE, LOOK - THAT IS HOW YOU SHOULD DO IT.... anything else is a danger to you and everyone around you.

Or leaving a note:
dear driver.  I've cleared your car for you.   Why?
well obviously you didn't think or take the time to properly clear the vehicle when you should have.
I've cleared your lights, front and back... now we can all see you on the road.
I've cleared your roof, now snow won't end up falling down your windshield blinding you.  Or backwards, potentially hitting the vehicle behind you.  Now you're no longer a rolling hazard.
Hopefully on the next snowfall you'll keep this top of mind and roll safely!
