Sounds more like contaminated rotors or uneven deposit of pad material on the rotors. If the rotors were actually warped, I think the shimmy would happen whenever the car is moving, not just when the brakes are applied.

I've been fighting with brake judder on the new mtb. Cleaning the pads and rotors and taking time to bed them in helps, but brakes still have that "grabbing and releasing" feeling, which can come and go depending on how hard I pull the lever.

What Heli said.
My Berlin taxi does the same thing. It is not consistent though. It was very pronounced when I got the car but it almost completely went away just occasionally happening with moderate deceleration now. It was bad enough for me to consider new rotors/pads.
OEM rotors/pad aren't the best on Mercedes. Numerous reports of the same issue on Mbworld.org for W212.

Thanks for the post. I suppose mine is so subtle as to almost say intermittent as well.

Bought out my ML550 at the end of the lease a few months ago.  Still under full warranty but its been fantastically reliable so far over 40 months.  Still looks like new and I enjoy it every day.  May trade it on the new GLE 500e next year.

I finally got around to getting the Blind Spot warning system fixed again. It was yet another $800 sensor (although only one this time rather than the normal two).......thank goodness for extended warranty. By the time I got in I'd been having an intermittent CEL on for about a month. That turned out to be a "left intake port end position sensor".  The part has to be ordered so back to see my friends in the service dept again when it comes in.

That sounds like something they made up.  Then I thought "no, it's German."

Next up, the "left intake starboard end position sensor". Then the right port and starboard end position sensors.  ;D

Real thing!
http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/Chezario/2011-05-15_123610_w906_remove_install_intake_port_shutoff_sensor.pdf

Seems like its related to something called "EKAS position sensor".

The engine in question is one of those symmetric V6 designs with two intake manifolds, hence the "left" part I am guessing.

No...I did some research and I'm pretty sure it's the port access to the Flux Capacitor.

Was just saying at the beginning of the summer.  "Very happy the A/C works so well in a 10 year old Odyssey!"  Jinxed myself, as it stopped working Sunday.  Going to have it checked out Friday morning.

Did a bit of driving on the weekend in the Mazda6, noticed some rattling/crackling coming from the front speaker in the door panel.  It's due to for it's 2nd oil change.  So I will take it to the dealer for an oil change this time, and have them check the speaker.

Air died in my '03 Ody after 10 years, and the culprit wasn't mechanical. A tiny puncture from a rock in the little a/c rad up front.

Changing the condenser wouldn't be too bad.  Part is cheaper.  If it's the compressor I am screwed!

Yeah, I was afraid of the condenser too, so happy it was only the evaporator!

So I just checked the relay.  Looks ok.  After investing some time researching on odyssey forums, and Youtube.  Blower motor resistor is a very common problem.  I don't have a tester.  It only takes 5 min to take it out.  So I went to the dealership to buy the part, and hope that would resolve it.  They wanted $292 with tax! Several online parts stores want between $20-$35! (including RockAuto).  I called the local wreckers, they will give me the resistor and blower motor for $80 tax in.

Once my mechanic determines the problem (hopefully it is the resistor), then I will go get it.

If it is the blower resistor then you will not have a variable speed for the air flow. It will just blow the same air at all settings. Obviously no air then I would look at the motor (or fuse). Both are easy repairs I recall, just awkward positioning, have done them 2-3 times on Fords and Hondas.
