I need one in my Shed....

I installed lights though and a solar panel, but that would be useful.

Has to be done pre-shingles though I assume?

Should be, but i dont think a tunnel would be the best solution for a shed.  A cheap skylight is all you would need in there, unless you plan to insulate and put in a ceiling.  There are 2 flanges; one for the roof section and one for the interior ceiling and then the sealed light pipe to join them.  If you dont have an interior ceiling, then you could probably just chuck the interior part and pipe section and just use the dome, but that defeats the purpose.  The main advantage of a sun tunnel is that it is sealed at both ends to mitigate the heat loss and condensation issues, and to avoid all the other work that has to be done to frame in a traditional sky light.

Replaced air and cabin filters / DIY way/
Decided to get price quotes first. It was surprising to say the least.
Dealer 1. Asks what car and I give him the VIN to make sure: $22/$27
Dealer 2. No questions about the car or VIN: $33/$40  ???  I was going to ask if an Accent filters would cost the same but didn't want to waste my time
Dealer 3. Asks what car/ VIN. Everything in stock. $20/$25. Picked them up an hour later before their prices changed  :)

I bought a top-of-the-line heated liner for my motorcycle jacket.  I can now extend my riding season until the snow flies...and be toasty warm!!

Installed a new bathroom ventilation fan, replacing the cheap unit supplied by the builder.  Builder's fan was rated at a meagre 50 cfm (too small for the ensuite).  It made more noise than anything else.  The new one is rated at 200cfm and is low sone.

As is so often the case, this was more involved than I first anticipated.  Had to construct a new frame for the fan in the attic, cut a bigger ceiling hole, replace the ventilation duct, etc.

Sometimes I wonder why I take on these projects...

I've been putting off replacing our ensuite fan because I think it's going to be similarly complicated and I don't think that area is easily accessed from the attic.

Definitely a project best saved for the fall or spring.

Why can`t the existing duct work and exhaust exit accommodate the 200cfm new fan  ???

The side jobs I do with my electrician/handyman involves me going into several attics.  Most of the time we decline jobs in the summer that involve us going in the attic, unless it's an emergency.  We have enough work in the summer that we don't need to these lot jobs that can be a pain.

Yep, I had to do a fan in our upstairs bathroom that burnt out two summers ago. Like AP, replacement ended up requiring a modified frame, bigger hole, etc. SUCKED working in the attic too. I remember I started the job after work on a weeknight, and didn't get it done until around 1am.

Air King BFQ series is like that. We lucked out, modular fans with varying CFM from something like 70-130 CFM.
