Just last week had 3 morons go past me and a bus with lights flashing.

On a single lane road that splits into three lanes (a left turn lane, straight thru lane and right turn lane) maybe 50m before the intersection.  Bus is sitting in the middle lane, lights flashing, I stop behind it in what becomes the left turn lane.  Car behind goes around me (so into the oncoming lane) passes the bus and sits at the light (they got there first!  Win!!)  Two other cars see car # 1 do his move & follow.  Bus completes picking up kids & moves up and is sitting beside the 1st car that looped around me at the lights....

Not at work, but parked beside this Subaru OBW today and thought the tires looked weird, and sure enough they're on the wrong side.   ::)

On my way to work this morning at 6:30am driving my Chevy pickup, it's still pretty dark and it's snowing lightly, the road is pretty bare where there are tracks but there is maybe an inch or two of snow on the paved shoulder.
I get about 2km from home and as I come over a small hill  from seemingly from out of nowhere there's a person walking ON the road right in front of me.   They aren't off on the shoulder, they are walking in the tire tracks facing away from traffic while wearing dark clothing and with their hood up.

It's amazing how many things go through your head when you think you're about to kill someone in the next second.    Anyhow, luckily there wasn't any cars coming at me as I yanked the wheel as hard and fast as I could to the left and hoped like hell I wouldn't hear a thump, I have no idea how I missed but once I straightened the truck and got back into my lane I looked in the mirrors and saw him still standing.
I was about to stop and get out to ask what the hell he was thinking, but by now I'm 100m ahead and more traffic is coming in both directions and I'd probably just cause a real collision if I tried backing up on the highway, plus I was now in no frame of mind to speak at all calmly to the idiot.

I have never come so close to hitting anyone, I actually checked the side of the truck for brush marks once I stopped shaking.

The person in the Hyundai didn't back in plus needs to wash their car. Each offence is $40.

Says who?    Speaking as a dirty car driver who never backs in.    How can I get Mrs tpl's walker out of the hatch if I back in...and a clean car is a sign of a damaged mind.

I don't think it would but it would be worth a try if we had a local P dealer.     We did test the Q before we bought it, having Mrs tpl fold the walker and put it in the back...left a scratch on the shiny black plastic of the showroom car but of course it fitted easily.

You would be (or maybe not) surprised at how many folks have their directional tires installed in the wrong direction.....

Perhaps but an unreadable license plate is an invitation to a ticket and fine.

I FACKING HATE people that back into parking spots.  99.99% of them see-saw back and forth fifty facking times while we all sit and wait and watch this painful BS.  I love it at Costco when they then have their stupid mini-van hatch at the rear of the spot, making it hard for them to load their groceries without laying on the hood of my car.  One a$$hole woman had the nerve to complain to me that because I'd parked in a spot that she was having trouble loading her $hit.

I go in front first, takes about one second.  Then I back out, and it's one motion again, and presto, maybe five seconds tops.  I can access the trunk/hatch without crawling around people's cars and I don't hold up traffic while I spend a half hour trying to back in.  Though, if I were to back in, at least I can do it quickly - but the people that can are rare - VERY rare.

Really?  I always back in. Usually in one swift move.

Just feels so much safer when pulling out. Especially with the truck.

But I agree when I'll be loading the back I'll pull in.

And I'll distill your rant to muppets just shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Backing in is the only way to go with a truck IMO.

Agreed. I'd need to do a three point turn to get the Yukon XL lined up straight in a parking spot, but backing in is like butter.

Drives me crazy to see all those lazy fackers in giant pickup trucks parked all crooked because they just drove in forward.

And another "muppet" observation: I was stuck at the grocery store a couple days ago waiting for an old guy to back his minivan out of his parking spot. I left him tons of room but he refused to back out at anything more than a snail's pace. I honestly think he was blind, and his plan was just to shut his eyes and go really, really slow in case there was something there and he hit it.

Then he was out of his spot and had the wheel cranked, but sat there because he wasn't sure he had enough room in front to make the turn. He must have had six feet.  ::)

So, yeah, muppets. Forwards, backwards, makes little difference.
