The potato plants got really big this year. Usually when this happens, you get mostly plant with tiny potatoes. I pulled two plants, and had enough to fill a good sized mixing bowl. The two largest potatoes were 460g and 420g, right around a pound each and solid all the way through.

I forgot about this thread. Looks like I got better at potatoes over the years. ;D

You'd figure, being from NB, that potato growing would come naturally :stick:

I find the lack of potato fields around here disturbing.  :(

Another view of the finished product, and what we planted (plus a couple potatoes that had got forgotten about in the basement and had some pretty good sized sprouts!).

Thanks for the tips on cold frames, I am still finding it hard to believe anything will grow in this weather:

Nice!  I should build one of those for myself
Those greens and radishes are pretty tough so I think you'll have no trouble growing

Think that's rock you are seeing. This part of the garden was formerly known as 'lawn' a month ago.

More stuff up today, Bok Choi, Mache, and the first of the lettuce.

Auto venter has been well worthwhile, kicks open the lid pretty much every day as long as there is some sun.

Looks good!  I might do some of those as well.  First i have to figure out what to plant in order to screen off the only neighbor that i can see now that the deer ate my cedar hedge last winter.  :censor: i hate those :censor:!  The deer that is... ;D

I was weeding the flower beds and I can't believe how dry the soil is for this time of year.

Looks like we had a visitor when we were at the cottage.  I'm guessing porcupine.

This is on my nice big Norway Maple.  :(

If they're in your lawn, you'll get no help from me.   ;D
