More Strava art.

https://www.strava.com/activities/258028201

Plus check out the new new 1 hour record holder for the 75-79 age group.

Giuseppe Marinoni’s hour record
http://cyclingmagazine.ca/sections/feature/giuseppe-marinoni-hour-record/

:censor:....my 36.2 looks sad  :P

And that is on a trainer in your basement.  :P

I'm curious what I'd be able to do in a velodrome. No wind and perfect surface. Still doing it for 1 hour is hell.

Speaking of track....From the men's finals. Averaging over 70 kph on the timed sprint section.  :o

Looking to pick up a bike carrier (hitch-mounted) since I now have a dog and can no longer put the bike inside my car(s). Also, I'm mounting a hitch to my soon-to-arrive Genesis Coupe V6  ;)

Any thoughts on this unit from Thule? http://www.thule.com/en-us/ca/products/carriers-and-racks/bike-carriers/hitch-mounted-bike-carriers/thule-doubletrack-2-bike-990xt-_-5776509

Reminder that my bike is a 650B Devinci Troy XP. I don't like the style that grabs from the top of the frame as they're often a pain with mountain bikes. That said, I'm not experienced with this particular style. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Snowman's is good, which one is it Snowy?

It is a Thule 9029 that holds four bikes. But if I was only going with two I would go with a the 990XT and it supports most of the weight on the wheel.

I have that same Thule hitch rack.  It's fantastic.   I've even had some people following me saying the rack seems to bounce much less than theirs.

the bar will press down on your frame.  it's totally fine.  the wheel straps are also very good and do an amazing job holding the bike.   Although there's a foam pad on the bar that pushes down, my advice is to wrap a small rag around that foam because the foam does rub off a bit.

What's great about these racks is they're much more fuel friendly than throwing the bikes on the roof.
However they do make it harder for people behind you to see your signals / break lights during the day (depending on vehicle style)    I found slowing down / tapping the break / turning signal on all earlier than usual helps warn people.   A late signal is much harder to notice right away.

Probably good since the first car it will be mounted on is a stiffly-sprung, low-to-the-ground Genesis Coupe!

I would have missed half of the turns and crashed at the other half.

Will go on this:

Both arrive by the end of the week, so it's time to start hoping for warm weather.

That was a long time ago. Lots of snow to melt and the roads (or trails) will take some time to dry out. Sick of riding in my basement.

We watched it tonight. Doesn't paint a nice picture of Armstrong.
