I've test-driven both the AWD and the F-Sport RWD and I was impressed. I didn't come away disappointed at all. In fact, I'm seriously thinking about buying one in the spring to replace my aging Santa Fe. I've also tested the Audi A6, A4, and S6, and for the money, the Lexus has way more to offer, at least in my opinion. It may not inspire one to go racing, but for a daily driver, I think it has more than enough edginess to keep a former wheel-spinner and older dog like me quite happy. After all, I grew up on old Mustangs, Camaros, and big-ass V8's and this Lexus has similar acceleration numbers but a way more put-together package to wrap it in. Audi and some of the other luxury brands have sketchy quality, IMO, but Lexus has always been in the top 3 for over a decade now, plus their dealerships, especially around where I live (Hamilton/Niagara) are the best of the bunch.
