Revelations was already there when I got there so I didn't see what he was driving but he seemed to have a good selection of 80s and 90s stuff.  ;D

That's seriously in great shape! Looks fairly comfy too, if it survives the rally, and I am fairly sure it will, that would make a great little commuter car.

Heh, that thing brings back some memories, my parents had a silver Plymouth Reliant in the same color. That does look to be in amazing shape. So what did Revelations show up in, a low miles Olds Trofeo?? 800 hp Buick Roadmaster??  ;D

I'd LOVE to find either one of those! Especially if the roadmaster rocked woodgrain trim! I just drive a boring Chevy Silverado most of the time lol.

Certainly was great to meet you last night Arthur Dent!! Glad the old "K" made it home. I'd bet that alternator is original, sucks but with a 34 yr old Aries I guess worse could have happened on the way home. Can't wait to see how the race pans out!

Nah! K cars were pillars of dependability, He should tackle the 24 hrs of Lemons after this.

We had a Chrysler E-Class as a family car during my early driving years, and got Reliants as service loaners (the later revisions with the 2.5 and "aerodynamic" nose  ;D ).

For all the bad rap the Ks got, you can't beat a box on wheels for room. They sat 6, got great mileage, offered great visibility (the from-the-inside kind), had a decent trunk and where cheap to fix. Fairly comfy too. Performance-wise, well they were on par with early-'80s anemic stuff, and they were pretty good in the snow.

I'd rather have a K-car than a Tempaz or Corsicapest!

Certainly worse than a dying alternator could have happened. If we had left during daylight it might have been a little less close too. I'd rather it before the rally too.

The K-cars drive pretty decent - just don't expect sports car handling - fuel injection adds a lot - the turbo cars have nice port injection even.

Speaking of turbos, I'd love to see you drop a turbo 2.2 in there.

Might be a bit of work for a turbo 2.2L - need to change out gas tank and all the lines at minimum. Then the electrics. We'll see how it goes.

Needs "safety equipment", but at 100$ USD, can you really go wrong? And this has "Dent" written all over it  ;D

Oh this looks like it'd be fun!  Got a brother in AB...if they do this repeatedly, maybe one year I can find a way to goad him into doing it too.
Can't wait to here the whole story(s).
