Could not go another day  :P .....Got a call from my big client at 08:00 asking where I was? Then was told to get my a$$ downtown for a meeting that I was unaware of. I get to the office and nobody is around because they moved to an office of a consulting firm. I was then told just to sit and call in to the meeting as there is no time to wait for me to walk over but I have time to start a thread and post  ::) >:( fack me

This is a happy and sad moment...

We're at Marmot Basin ski resort on Wednesday, skiing with my daughter and her friend.  I'm a good skier - better than a lot of folks.  We're going down one of the steeper, open runs, and I'm going fast, making big GS style turns and having fun.

I look to my side and see the kid, passing me, on one ski.  "At your speed Dad, I needed an extra challenge."

Happy to see her skiing with such skill.  Sad knowing that I will never be as good as her, and the gap will probably only widen.

Awesome story John.  I am pretty sure my dad had the exact same experience when I was 16.  "Here dad, let me show you something". 

He was a hell of a skier in his own right.  I just had the advantage of a dad who got me into it at a younger age.

In other news, I broke my glass coffee press the other day.  A terrible way to start the day.

Please.  70% of Canada gets my name wrong.  They add letters, change letters, and mispronounce it even after hearing my voicemail greeting. It never ends.  Having been here for almost 20 years, I'd like to think I'm over it (but it still bugs me).  So, I hear ya.

Some of my family still can't say let alone spell my wife's name. Its only been 13 (something around that) years now. Worse is when people email you, spell your name wrong when its right there in front of them in your email addy.
