Bought an old VW cabriolet last fall. The roof was screwed, bought another good roof from a parts car. Installed it today, kinda a PITA but its all done.

:fiver: We need more pics from you....

Haven't done much car stuff recently. I did drive the 96 Bird to Oshawa and back yesterday....That trip, plus two trips to work and back totaled almost 500kms, of which the car average 8.9L/100kms. Not bad for a 20 year old 3.8  :D

It's a 1990

My kids love it!

that looks bright... i don't think i want to be driving opposite you anytime soon! be interesting to see how long they last... i find so many things lately have ridiculous warranties with the expectation that no one will make the claims.

so today, i actually did something unexpected... put the Willy's up for sale again!! ha! that dealership employee deal is on again... not as good as when i got it the last couple times, but still good... only makes sense if i sell it privately and do a courtesy trade though. I am in no rush whatsoever though since i can't get another anvil one... so now the choices i have are rhino, tank, or mojave sand... we'll see what happens.

Quite the sales-pitch in that ad there Scoops, ha, ha, ha!! [emoji3]

Looks really good! You've got some serious mileage on it tho, my 2014 will have 2yrs of service this June 2nd & I'm just about to turn 33k kms on it.

Agreed - that is a very cool looking ride.

Today I discovered that the V60 has no door lock lever. Electric only. The regular handle also unlocks in one go rather than in two stages like some of the German stuff.

iirc, beside the handle there is a removable cover that hides the key tumbler... might have changed over the last few years, but that's where it used to be... there would be a little lock emblem there that you stick the blade of the key in to pop it off, then there is the mechanism.

hmmm.. now that i'm re-reading your post, i'm thinking you mean no little tab on the inside of the door... that, i wasn't aware of! every day is a school day!

as for my ad, yeah, i kept this one pretty tame. no goofy stuff, just lots of info. had a few responses, and one offer... nothing serious though.

Today early morning I took my Honda Civic for service. After the winter, I noticed some changes in the engine sound. My busy work Schedule didn’t give me time to take my car for service.

From last week, my car’s engine noise started to worsen. So, today I found some time to take my car to my usual car service centre in Toronto. you can check out their website

I gave the car for full service and repair. I will get my car as brand new.

Bonus points for trying to be creative while spamming.

http://www.musclecarszone.com/your-scratched-aluminum-rims-need-a-repair-this-diy-tutorial-video-will-help-you-fix-them-step-by-step/! Did not really turned out as in the video, but was pretty successful. Someone with less clumsier hands would do it better :D

had the 3M paint protection film put on my hood front...  with all the crap on the roads in the GTA the front of the Accord I traded in looked like it had 400KM on it instead of 42KM...  this should help and you can barely see the line where it stops...

You should black out the door handles and window trim.

Definitely blacked out trim is preferable to chrome.    Like the BMW "shadowline" stuff on their sport package equipped cars.   Much better.

Yeah, or Audi's "Black Optics" packages.
