It is. Assuming it's not hiding any secrets, it's easily a $6-7K car. It's a shitty time of year to be selling something like that, and he's not exactly located in a classic car hotbed, so it's probably a struggle to move even at that price. If he get it on eBay it'd probably go pretty easy.

That Spitfire looks like a good deal. Appears to be in nice condition for the photos.

$18,500!!! :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

A guy in our mountain bike club went down to the US and bought a mint low mileage Astro for $10,500 USD this summer. He's a die hard off the trail guy and turns his Astro's into a camper/adventure vehicle, even lifts them a bit. His last one had a tree fall on it during a windstorm writing it off. He used to own a Westfalia and found out the Chevy was worlds better than the VW in so many ways. He was happy to top hills at 100 km/h while not blowing oil seals.

To the right guys these van's are worth big $$ (maybe not 18,500 big though) but they have a surprising following.

pretty sure this was his old van, was pretty cool!

Yeah, I've met some of those Astro van fanatics.....weird stuff. My FIL had one, think it was a 2001 fully loaded 2WD Safari passenger van, with leather two toned blue/beige exterior. I borrowed it a few times to move stuff and couldn't believe how floaty and bouncy it was; after the first time with my cargo (a big TV) flying around everywhere I never forgot to strap things down in the back.

That Spitfire is gorgeous, and a great buy at that price! Not fair, I can't even read the ad :(

I'm a nice guy  ;D

Triumph Spitfire Mk3 1969, in running condition, plated, Primrose yellow, overdrive, wire wheels. Very good project for the winter.

Looks like a screamin' deal from the pics, could be flipped for twice the price (at least) on BaT.

Why am I drawn to these things all of a sudden?

Mighty nice for $4,900:

$5,500, rebuilt engine & original paint:

Final edition, $6,500!

Green 74 would be my pick. Followed closely by the Black LE. The only reason I say that is that someone has messed with the seats in the LE, and the original LE unique steering wheel has been swapped for an out of place looking wood rim wheel....That would bug me, and tracking down a correct LE steering wheel would be a task.  Paint on the 74 looks tired, but it'd probably polish up alright.

BWII, that black 86 Iroc (112K kms) is a really good price assuming the underside isn't rotten. I'd be all over that if it were close to me.

Also. TR6 > NA Miata.....Maybe not around an auto-x course, but in every other way; style, sound, cool factor, no comparison. To that end, a good TR6 commands a higher dollar than an NA Miata. My brother, for example, just sold his TR6 (which is one of the nicer ones I've ever seen) on eBay for ~$16K USD - Not crazy money, but way more than a comparable NA would bring.

I'm wondering if the seat covers in the LE are just to offer "protection" from the black vinyl in the sun, or if the stock coverings are shot. I noticed the wheel too, and what looks like "wood" upper door panels. '74s, from what I read, exist in three configs, ending up the model year with the rubber bumper conversion. This one appears to be a sweet combo, with chrome bumpers / grille and BRG paint.

The black LE is still available, now listed at 6k$  :banghead:

Non-messed with Fox body Mustangs are getting rare. This one is pretty darn nice looking. Shame about the colour but it will likely go up in value. Looked good until I read that it has an engine knock.

I can't recall the last time I saw a Mercury Marauder X100 - a bit of an oddity. More muscle-boat rather than muscle-car

I dunno, seems steep for that '89.  I don't imagine I'll ever see them as having the potential to go up in value.  For $1500 it'd be nice; throw a new/better/faster engine in it and just use it to terrorize bears and elk in the forest.  Find a nice gravel road with lots of curves and Colin McRae the carp out of it.

How'd this be for fun time! Meep-meep!
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/herbie-with-a-v8-new-fall-sale-price/1202912360?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
V8 Herbie
1967 VW Beetle. It has a 350ci chevy engine, with a T5 transmission out of a camaro (5-speed manual), and a 10 bolt rear end with a 3.73 posi. It has 2 inch wider fenders in both front and rear, as well as fiberglass running boards made to match the wider fenders. The car is sitting on a custom frame with a front clip from a S-10 and 4-link rear rear suspension with coilovers. It has power steering and power brakes (disc in front and drum in rear). It is a lot of fun to drive, and it turns heads everywhere it goes.
The car has a fresh safety.

Asking $17750 obo.

Or maybe this is more up everyone's alley. A tastefully modified (his words) S2000, for less than a V8 Porsch...Bug

That Bug is fantastic. Looks reasonably stock from the outside. No vents cut in the now hood/was trunk like other V8 conversions I've seen.

I wonder if the radiator is in the back.

That Lexus looks pretty beat up in areas.  They have a cat hanging on the steering wheel?  It might be the better car than the 300...but it does nothing for me.  The 300 actually looks good.  (it's $3200 more than my Fusion was when I bought it...fack...a V8!) The Civic  :-X :hurl:...for a few dollars more you could get a cool car.  You're only getting older, no time to start getting wise now...do the irresponsible thing, get the Dodge.  I don't want to hear stories about a Lexus or Civic. Sure as hell don't want to see a video on either of them.

I can't wait now... :bounce:
