I've always thought that the Enclave was a looker both in and out. If I needed that much space it would definitely be on my shopping list

Rented these many times (as seen on the transcanada hwy between Regina and Winnipeg) and think they are excellent 4-season minivan alternatives.

Enclave is still high on my people hauler list. Sexy as hell, classy. Doesn't have the versatility of a minivan but who cares I'm balling.

A buddy has had one for awhile and it has been troublesome with suspension and sensor issues. Doesn't look like he's alone:

As sexy as they look I think I'd stick with a Tahoe/Yukon.

Same neighbor with the Enclave backed into a pole....even with a backup camera and backup sensors....sensor failure??  ;D Im with you, the Tahoe is much more up my alley when it comes to SUVs, but these are not a bad choice at all.

Easy to say with gas at a $1.14 a litre for you guys.

Not so much with gas at a $1.45 a litre in Vancouver.

Never really liked the Acadia, no soul in that design. The Traverse just looks like a tub of lard. The Outlook is not too bad. But the Enclave is the one I want.

I rented an Acadia in Virginia. Was a nice highway cruiser, but for family duty for me I'd rather have a Tahoe or Yukon. Trust me, the fuel mileage is very close between the two.

I always said Id be interested in the Burb when they offer the 3/4 ton with the Duramax/Allison combo.

The other nice thing about the Tahoe/Yukon is serviceabilty. My brother was showing me the engine in his, and he was positively gleeful, "Look how much room there is around it!". Compact and tidily packaged V8 in a big engine bay.

Agreed, but with one change.  I'd consider a half ton with a smaller diesel  - something around the 4 to 5L mark.

Im with ya, the problem is that the Suburban with the 5.3, with a full load of passengers and maybe a small trailer isnt exactly overpowered, so a diesel wouldnt be a bad idea. The 3/4 ton with the 6L has decent power, but let me tell ya, fuel economy.....oh the humanity.
