Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Glad he's doing well!  I found it very hard to see my Daisy after her surgery.  She was so stoic, and trying very hard to go about her regular routine unassisted, but she needed our help for a few weeks.  It was during the winter, which really didn't help matters when it came time for potty breaks.  We ended up shovelling a trail for her through the backyard, as the snow was too deep for her to manage.

With the recent passing of my Vegas, it's certainly been extremely difficult and bizarre not having a dog in our house.  Working from home everyday, it's just been too quiet for my liking.

On the positive side, I received notice today that I will be getting a Golden Retriever puppy in about eight weeks or so.  A top breeder in Nova Scotia had a litter born just yesterday and I will be getting one of their eight puppies.  My daughter and I are sooooooooooooo excited!!

Congrats Shane.

One question, last time I asked you about dog breeds I remember you saying you had had a few, and the Toller was your favourite.  Any reason why the change?  Pros, Cons?

I was actually wanting another Toller, but couldn't find a reputable breeder anywhere in the Maritimes that had upcoming litters anytime soon.  I've always loved Goldens as well, as they share a lot of similarities to Tollers, and was able to find a litter from a breeder that I trusted.  I don't think you could go wrong with either a Toller or a Golden, both are beautiful dogs with wonderful dispositions.

My Daughter and I have been patiently waiting to pick up our new Golden Retriever puppy, which will be about mid August.  It's been way too lonely and weird not having a dog in our house.  It's been the longest ever that I've been without a dog.  So yeah, definitely excited about next month to pick up our new furry family member.  Not sure if it's going to be a male or a female just yet.

This is a pic taken yesterday of the Dad of the litter.

That's great Shane. My daughter has a rescue Golden/Toller cross....build and look of a smallish Golden with Toller markings.

My daughter and I are headed to Truro tomorrow morning in the S2000 to meet our new Golden Retreiver puppy for the first time.  I'm not sure who's more excited, me or her.
