Creating a separate company manufacturing Lincoln products is the last resort to get away from the simplified badge engineering...

I think basing on Ford models and selling out of Ford showrooms keeps them from becoming a serious competitor to the luxury brands.

inside design is quite interesting. But the fascia is quite awful. What were they thinking? It makes Acura looks good.

Although it won't be fast... the 128 lb ft of torque is just the 2.0L engine. The electric motor has instant torque delivery which is what many hybrids (including this one unless something earth shattering happened) use to offset the low torque numbers on the gas engine. So the number is deceiving.

Not to say that it'll be blazing fast either. Just not 128 lb ft slow.
