I hope Ford can pull this off. The previous Ford GT didn't really out perform the exotics and it was quite crude in comparison.I just can't see paying $400K for a Ford. How snobby is that!??!?!
Great article Mr. Fung!! I disagree about one thing, a flat plane, big displacement V8 would be the perfect dance partner in this thing....a turbo V6, while techy and "frugal", is going to give it the exhaust note of an F150.....which is a pressure cooker with a faulty valve....le boo Otherwise this is bloody gorgeous, way better than what the Italians and British are offering.

I agree with you about the V8. An angry flatplane rev-to-the-moon supercharged V8 would be my preference. I just mean that there's no sense in complaining about it anymore. All the manufacturers are headed that way, whether we like it or not. When it comes to sportscars and supercars, efficiency be DAMNED! I want them brutal and angry. If they just happen to end up being efficient and "green" in the process, then that's great. I just don't care for that mandate being a priority at all (in this segment).

and if I remember correctly...it will be made in Markham ontario
Otherwise this is bloody gorgeous, way better than what the Italians and British are offering.

Hey @NoToLOOK! I made an effort not refer "them" as them. Just for you! hahhah. Thanks for the feedback. I love the Autos.ca peanut gallery. Cheers!

I noticed I think the 3.5T V6 was chosen for weight, not for its fuel efficiency. This seems like one over-engineered supercar, one with a lot to go wrong
I'm not sure that having Ford GTs splatted all over the highways is really the image they're after.
^HUH....so you mean everyone who owns an obscene HP Supra, GT-R or Veyron are all dead?? Weird...I hadn't heard about that.
Did I say all? But let's ask Paul Walker for his opini....oh, right.

I'd doubt it. At least if corrected for the number of garage queens.
