Where to buy hub-centric rings for Winter Alloy Wheels?
« on: November 25, 2013, 03:00:55 pm »
I lost a couple of the hub-centric rings for the Winter Alloy wheels for the G.
Where can you purchase them, locally?

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

I'd call tire23 - the Asian place. Believe you've been before?
Yes, but they're in the Hinterlands of Mississauga. I prefer to deal with Oakville/Burlington shops.
I suppose then 'any' wheel shop?

They should all have them.

Stick with plastic rings. I don't relish the thought of ripping off the aluminum ones on the Z4 in a couple of months...
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.

That's interesting that you fit the spacers on the hub.  I put the rings in the wheel, just pressed in, as the tire/wheel dealer suggested.  They broke.  The replacement hub rings were from an auto supply store and their suggestion is to glue the plastic rings into the wheel.  I have not done that yet.

Up to the tire place that ends up doing it as I'm going to get the winters balanced on the OEM 17s again. Yes the Z4 might have to be recalled to year round service. Long story. :(

And nothing to do with the TL really.

Other way around. The rings are on there already as they're used for the 18" summers. Not sure if any anti seize was used when they went on. Going to be a :censor: to remove :)

I insist that any wheels I buy are hub centric...but then I do not agonize for weeks in the forum about which wheel looks better  so I can accept the more limited choices.

My buddy bought a set at Kal Tire for $24.99 or $27.99, one of those two.

The choices actually become more plentiful with rings. For example one could use Hyundai rims on a Toyota or Nissan, which have smaller bore but the same 5x114.3 pattern.

p.s. ebay sells a gazillion of types and sizes.

I, myself,me don't care.  I only buy wheels to put winter tires on and I'd rather they were hub centric and bought locally rather than through Ebay.

sorry, I was referring to rings, not rims. They allow for more OEM rim choices, instead of having to buy cheap quality aftermarket ones.
