I see one every morning.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Neighbours son has one.  Around 2010-2012.  Manual V6T.  Just spent around $2000 on brakes!  At an independent.  Parts are pricey!

Can't blame you because all Audis look the same, but that's an S8, not an S4.  ;)

I looked at a V10 S8 prior to my Lexus purchase.  Part prices were terrifying as was the maintenance schedule.

A guy on another forum I'm on has a V10 S8. Went from an A4 3.2 Avant six-speed to a first gen CTS-V to the S8. I don't think he's had too many issues.

Speaking of the S8, it's been replaced this year by the S8 Plus (think RS8): http://www.audi.ca/ca/web/en/models/a8/s8-plus.html

The engines seem to be quite robust.  They are hand built, so I'm guessing there's plenty of care that goes into it.  But should you have issues....it's about $10K to get that engine replaced....with a used one.  Labor not included.

It's that time of year. I'd really like a stock-ish S10/Sonoma ZR2...without cab corner and third door rot please :)

Yes, it's junky and failure prone, but I still want it.

For a split second I thought I was thing it was an S8, but I couldn't click on the picture to enlarge.  In the photo, it doesn't look long enough to be the S8.

But thanks for the correction.

I love the S8 in Ronin!

I love the S8 in Ronin!

Because it had NOS?   :skid:

FWIW, that year S8 wasn't terribly potent.

Full size SUV shopping again........dumping the Yukon XL for the crossover Acadia was not wise. Wifey wants more room and powah!! Test drove a very nice  09 Suburban today. Would LOVE a new one but holy $#%^ are they pricey. I don't think I could let my kids in a vehicle that expensive.

I can get a new style as low as ~55k at dealer auction, but even that is crazy. Back in late 06 I bought our 05 Suburban LT for 36k, that was pretty much a loaded truck too. At least gas is super cheap for the time being.... ;D

Didn't have to be!  Look at what the French police were driving!  Little Renaults! :-)

I was a big fan of the ZR2s when they were new. I also really liked the Blazer ZR2. The '98 facelift and new interior made them a lot nicer. And you could get them with a stick, but those are very rare.

When you said ZR2, made me think of the Escort ZX2.  Those were pretty good in their day.

Yep, very under appreciated but they were actually great handling cars. Can't remember the last time I saw one.

A couple on Autotrader,  one guy is asking $3k for a MY 2000, with a 155k on it.  Good luck with that!

Raptor vs F-Pace... Hmmmm....

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...
