I've wanted to drive a funny car since I was a kid.  Videos like this just make that desire stronger.

I'd much rather a top fuel car - Funny Cars have the trans sitting right under your man-bits.  Shields or not, trans are prone to shooting parts.  I like the idea of all the spinning metal bits far behind me.

No transmission in today's funny cars.  Clutch to driveshaft.

I'd like to drive Gene Bichlmeier's '55 Chev super stocker.  265 cu in with a 4 speed.  Just ran 11.22 at the Winternationals to qualified 6th in the 68-car field.

I always thought I could have got a Wally in the Import class.  But the class went away the year I was going to make a serious go at it.   :'(
