You should have you height and weight in the first paragraph instead of 1/2 way though the piece

If there was ever a car categorized as "containing not one redeeming feature" this is it. Buy something...anything else.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

It's very possible it's the best handling car in its class though.

Of course, another big part of Mazda’s Skyactiv tech is its fuel efficiency, and in that light the Prius didn’t disappoint; after a week of mainly city driving, we saw less than 8.0 L/100 km of fuel usage.

Prius?  I thought this was a Yaris.

I think beyond reliability...you are 100% correct. I would think a penalty box from any other manufacturer would be a better place to spend your days in.

So was that 2L, 4L or 7.9999 L/100? All are less than 8L/100.

Too much empty posts in my view...Is the article, the subject or both are reason for that?

They need to buy the hatchback - it looks a million times better (especially with the Mazda nose).

All cars below a mid-size should have a manual transmission. This thing would be so much fun with the 6 speed, a good set of tires, the hatchback and a winding road.

This is a mass market car and people don't buy manuals anymore in any significant numbers.

Because they're wrong.

Brexit proved that a majority of a population can be utter morons.

Proud to be a minority :) (manual gearbox and remainer)

Sorry, but that's a pretty moronic statement.   ::)

It was a wish and a desire. 80% of vehicles sold in the UK are manual, here it's something like 20%. Manual aren't hard to drive, they're cheaper, more reliable, more fun, and generally provide better performance (until you get into the DSG boxes and at the high end).

I know it's a losing battle. Every new generation of car launched my future purchasing options get slimmer and slimmer

same here

after driving manual in London, Italy, Australia, and my Alfa back home in Canada...I can't see myself going back to automatic honestly. Yet, does it count if it doesn't even have any gears, like my ordered Model 3?

my fun cars will always be manual as long as I can find them. They might not be new, but they will be more fun to drive with the 3 pedals. I dont care what people say about DSGs, not the same at all.

One way for manufacturers to go bust is to fail to understand market demand.  There is next to zero market demand for manual transmissions in North America.  Trying to stuff stickshifts down the throats of the public would be moronic indeed - they are not going to part with their money in enough numbers to make it worthwhile.  I'm glad my wife's Fit was still available with a stick (and a delightful one at that).  One of the reasons I encouraged her to trade in her old car now instead of waiting another year or two is the reality that there was no guarantee it would still be available then.  However, we don't confuse our individual preferences with market realities.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.
