The more I look at this, the more a few things things strike me:

-  It looks a LOT like a Mazda CX-5 from some angles

-  The Qi charging station is brilliant.  I wish more manufacturers had included it with their 2015 models.

Would have like to read more about the size, instead of an iPhone charger

Do normal size people fit in ? Normal size is over 6 ft  ;D
How far does the front seat move back?
How much room in the rear seat ?
Can you fit 4 26" suit case and carry ons  in the back seat up ?

I think there will more sales to  the over 50 bracket compared to the under 35

Good questions all. I could have focused on those more, sorry for that.

We had Cyril Dimitris in the back, he is well over 6 ft and found it perfectly comfortable. There was ample leg room for him when driving too. Also for me (which is hardly surprising because I'm so short people think I hoard gold under rainbows).
Yes you can easily fit four carry-ons in the back with the seat up. The rear seat has "best in class couple distance" according to Lexus - which is a funny way of adding hip room together. Basically it's person one's outside hip to person two's outside hip.

Is this about the same size as a Rav 4?

In footprint, yes. The trunk is about half the size, and the roof slopes a bit more. I fit just fine at 5'11", but my driving partner was crammed up against the roof.

I really like these! if priced properly, I believe Lexus will see lots of them.

A starting price above $40k sounds a bit high, although that is a full $10k below the base price of an RX.

I'd expect the base model to start at $36k, looking at how Lexus often undercuts the German in prices...

We sort of expected that to, but like I said in the article, Lexus were adamant it won't be cheaper than the Lincoln at 39.

Acura with RDX is the value leader in the premium CUV market, IMO.

Starting price over $40K seems too steep, it comes with a decent amount of features in the lowest trim, though.

Except the ride is too choppy for a luxury CUV, at least for my taste...$40k range is where the Q5/X3/GLK are. I'm wondering if Lexus will rethink their price strategy, considering Audi will offer a FWD Q5 starting at $35,8K

Another example of a car that's way too over-designed and the end result is a cluttered mess, especially the front end which almost looks like an amphibious vehicle! Lexus' design language has been very polarizing of late and the NX continues that trend.

Wouldn't surprise me if this becomes the top selling Lexus in the US is a few years. I think it's the RX today.

The RX is the best selling luxury vehicle in the US!

Here's a video preview from Autoguide:

I like the part at 4:40 talking about the "simulated" turbo boost volume knob.

Impressive numbers!

Preliminary EPA estimates are 33/30/32 for the AWD and 35/31/33 for the FWD

There is no FWD in Canada. But regardless, those AWD numbers seem to match up with what we saw in the hybrid.
