TL looks like a solid used luxury-sedan buy.

I think it'll be a more solid used buy once the TLX actually comes out.  Until that happens, the TL is still current and depreciation will take its toll soon enough.

This car with the AWD and 6 spd manual would make a great long distance, all weather car.....and I think they look pretty damn good, lowered with some nicer rims  ;D

I agree, finding a manual that isn't white or black is next to impossible though...

Id be ok with white....dont think that Acura offered any really interesting colours on it anyway.

I thought I would be ok with white, but I will never buy a black or white car.  The blue in the TL is decent, as is the grey.  Never had silver, but it's easy on the eyes, and the upkeep.

I never had a problem with the front end, especially since they did the refresh.  And lack of colour is usually one of my biggest gripe about buying used.  Most premium/luxury vehicles are white, black, silver.  Hard to get anything with color.  Same goes for Odyssey, not like Caravans where you see many in different colors.  Honda Canada says, here are 4 or 5 colors, that's it.

I love the AWD + 6 speed manual combination.  But get very me that in the previous generation body style.  I never did like the looks of this generation.

This is a fantastic vehicle.  The dealer we bought the altima at had a 2010 on the lot, but it was a full $8000 more than our altima, so it was out of our price range.  Be sure that I glanced longingly at it many, many times.

The SH-AWD 6MT is the winner, but rare, and unlike with most cars, the manual doesn't hammer resale, so you're going to pay if you find one.  And these cars hold their value pretty well.  No bargains to be had, but buying used is still a lot less than new, and given the build quality, I'd buy one in a second.

As noted, if you're serious, wait until the new one comes out, and these cars will drop a bit.

Toyota has a serious competitor in the IS350 and IS-F (prices on the F are now realistic) and they offered RWD and AWD models, but no manual at all.  The Acura is one of the few manual non-German machines that are out there, but as I said, they're not common.

The IS is smaller inside.  I'd say the TL is in between an IS and GS for size.

A close friend of mine just bought a loaded 2014 TL with AWD for $37,000 cash. A screaming deal for a solid car.

That is a great buy. For not much more than a loaded Accord V-6 he scored an AWD luxury car. Nice.

it might be one of those "year end" deals...my coworker just picked up a new Ridgeline Sport...most of what he was looking at was about $35k, so this vehicle at $40k was outside of it, however, they had something like $4k or $6k off their in stock inventory so he decided to check it out (as it was now in his budget)...he just picked it up last Monday and loves it.

This one is dark grey, 6MT SH-AWD:

My problem with the current TL is that the trunk size is very small for this class of vehicle.

Compared to what?  Infiniti G37, Lexus IS350, Buick Lacrosse, all around 13-14 cubic feet.

I have had two TL's and the trunk sucked in both of them.
