just over 25 grand

you do have to qualify for one of the discounts... a 1500 after tax one that you get if you or someone in the household either owns a pick-up truck (any brand, year, etc.) or anyone in the household is a member of a certified skilled trade. without that, it makes a pretty big difference...

but yep... 0% on the lease, 6500 off the top, a 2000 october discount, 1000 bonus cash, that 1500 i just mentioned, plus i have some ambassador certificates meaning i can sell it at invoice...

and it's not like it's a rush to clear out 2017's....

so yeah, sold one, and only have one left right now... can't imagine it will last long.

i tried looking up the ad online but couldn't find it, but i figured you could confirm the specifics...i knew there was a $500 deposit, but not sure where the other ~$500 comes from (in terms of money down)...in any case, a heck of a deal...from what i could see online, i think it had the 5.7 Hemi (is that correct)?

either way, if i needed a truck, i'd have to take a serious look at that deal.

i know, i kind of understand...about $1800/year taxes in for 2 years for a decent truck...yea, you have gas and insurance, but hey, that isn't much more than a bus pass these days and you don't have wait in the rain and snow (it's coming) for it...i mean, even if you look at a normal car (Civic, Forte, Fusion, etc), you can't get any of them anywhere near that price.

for example, i just priced out a new Fusion SE with the 2.0L EB engine (includes one package...0.49% lease, 24 months, 20k kms per year with $1500 down so quite comparable to the RAM...monthly payment with tax is $606...that's an awful lot more than the $144 for the RAM.

a new Civic EX, 2 year lease with $1500 down and 20k kms per year is $449 per month all in.

lastly, a new Forte SX, 3 year lease (minimum term), 16k kms per year and $1500 down is $373 per month all in.

so, in short, even if you don't need a truck, that $144/month is pretty much impossible to beat.

I'm seriously considering it. Though really I don't need a car, let alone a truck.

$144/month for two years on a brand new vehicle is pretty sweet. I just bought a house, so a truck could be handy for the next two years  ;D

Did you try building the Ram on the Dodge web site?

you should see the salespeople in the FCA facebook group... they are all going nuts trying to figure it out... but it did work for me. not even sold at a loss... just no profit. fun business...

also, the trucks are nearly impossible to get. i have one left and seriously, i can't get one from another dealer, no matter what i offer them. so hope you guys like white!

oh, and yeah... it's a 5.7, 6-speed, power windows/locks/mirrors, cruise, sirius radio, 17" alloys, trip computer... if it was the 80's, this would be a loaded truck! nowadays... no nav?... no back up cam? pssshh...

yes, but that offer doesn't show up there...i can't find it listed anywhere, other than where i saw it in the paper...i was thinking maybe there was a typo in that it meant weekly or even bi-weekly payment, but it had the price in a couple of areas and clearly stated monthly...i figured tooscoops would be able to chime in and confirm if it was legit or if it was in fact a typo...seems legit...too bad they might be a bit of a unicorn trim though, i would imagine these could sell quite well.

Honestly, if it were January I'd legitimately do it. Unfortunately it is not January.
