On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Not senior yet, but i find if i dont look at the speedo, not look ahead, not be vigilent then i dont stress out.  Just mindlessly follow the bumper in front of me.  No stress.

If i look ahead, try to determine what others are doing around me, whats happening 10 cars ahead of me, etc..  thats exhausting.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

My Dad is almost 80 and loves ripping the S2K up and down through the gears - and takes long road trips (they drove to Ontario!) in the little car.  Not all seniors are ready for the bus...

I live in an area that is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 places to retire in the country. The driving that occurs here reflects that.  :banghead:

Don't follow your GPS to your doom and don't confuse "D" and "R"  ;D

And don't mistake the brake for the gas pedal.   ;D

The accident rate per distance driven goes way up for 75+, but they don't tend to drive as much.

Driving through the Okanagan Valley in the summer its not uncommon to see someone old enough to owe Jesus gas money complete with an O2 tank in tow get in the captain seat of a gigantic Class 1 motorhome bus.....that scares the ever loving crap out of me.

A lot of that in Florida, of course. I was stuck stationary in traffic on I-75 because an old duffer in a Starcraft van pulling a park model trailer lost control and barrel rolled into the ditch.

I live in an area that I'm sure is the number 1 place to retire-Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, and I cycle a lot.  :o
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.

Being on 2 wheels in a retiree-heavy area is scary. I visited my friend on Île de Bainbridge (as I affectionately called it lol).....and when I took his motorbike around for a run, it was quite scary.

All the Floridians move up here for 8 months of the year, can't wait for them to take their habits back south in about a month.   :bounce:
