I would be outta business if the heat was like this.  Grass is dying.  Good thing 90% are contracts.  But still, feel a little guilty for not cutting any lawns in 4 days!

Woah!

Yesterday was pretty wild here. We hit 100kph gusts. But not a wild as that!

Summer isnt really ever going to happen this year in northern Europe. The weather blows here.........literally. Persistent Lows in the North Sea just pump in cool, damp, dreary, windy, and changeable weather. Maximum of only 18° the last week, with winds blowing down trees.

Only in Manitoba... That tornado was on the ground for 2.5 to 3 hours which apparently is close to the world record for tornado duration. In all that time no one was hurt nor was there significant property damage.

If that tornado had been anywhere else many people would have been injured (or worse) and at least 8 trailer parks would have been destroyed. Here? A couple of out buildings, a few fences and a road were damaged.

We're too few and too spread out, we can't be gotten.

Red Dawn would have been a different movie altogether if it had been filmed in Manitoba

Crazy storms at the cottage today.

Awesome shot of a supercell.  As it passes you, if you shoot toward the leading end, I believe it's called a Whale's Mouth.  It got here about an hour or so ago, with bonus hail.

Weather warning covering Montreal and other parts of Quebec says it all:

A total of 50 millimetres of rain is expected over several regions of Southern and Central Quebec. Amounts could even exceed 60 millimetres north of Quebec City and Mauricie. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Currently 31 and heading to 35. With humidex, it could hit 40. That's toasty.
