My 1980 Monte project has been on hiatus since ~2001 and my free storage is coming to a close soon. The car has been in a garage untouched since 2001.
I would like to sell it for cheap to someone who has the time/means to restore it, lest it be sent to the boneyard.
It's been a while since I kicked the tires, but here's what I know off hand. I can get more details/photos and post here if there is any interest.
Needs:
- Repair to rear frame rails/body mounts (under trunk)
- Brakes
- Tires (flat, may still hold air)
- Possible floor sheet metal work (did some, but that was in 2001)
- Interior work (vacate mice, maybe clean/replace fabrics. Carpet was replaced in 2001)
- Probably other stuff
Has:
- Nearly flawless body metal (current paint is metallic teal with gold pinstripe work along top edge of quarter panels/doors)
- Original "rally" style rims with center caps/trim
- Some engine chrome bits and bobs, uninstalled (valve covers, etc.)
Other Stuff:
- 2 door coupe (of course)
- Automatic transmission
- 305 small block V8 (completely stock, if I am not mistaken)
If anyone has any interest, please PM me. The car is located in Southwestern Ontario, and will need a trailer/flatbed to take haul, presumably.
