Well it looks great, and good call on the spoiler delete.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Big +1 there!  Looks so much better without the aptly named spoiler!

None of these pics illustrate the differences well, but in the flesh the question quickly arises "why is that piece of plastic glued on that trunk lid  ???"

with and then without.

Congrats on the Mustang.

Wasn't much of a surprise with you "in-depth" and passionate comments on the V6.

Some cars don't it and the new Mustang has enough length and beef to the trunk that it needs no help at all. Now look at a TT or TTS without a spoiler and you go WTF?

IIRC the original TT had a severe stability problem until Audi put a spoiler on the back...

Rear spoiler/wing thing is totally car dependent.  The new STi looks to me, much better without.  As Snowie noted, the TT-RS would look unfinished without it's wing.  Steve's Stang looks better without that goofy little spoiler - looks like an after-thought.

I haven't noticed a new Mustang on the road.  Are they out?  Maybe I need to look closer.

And what's with the wrong green?  Really?  They're still going homage/retro looks and won't sell the right green?  C'mon Ford.

When you take a close look at the "spoiler" it's about the same dimensions of OEM door guard trim circa 1995.  ::)  It's completely non functional. I suppose old design habits are hard to break.  Least some at Ford thought it was pointless.

That little raised edge looks a bit like the one BMW put on the V10 M5.   That was all that car needed to keep it stable at close to 200 mph...now I suspect it had all kinds of clever stuff underneath as well and a diffuser below the rear bumper but even so...

No choice really.  The Ecoboost Vert is 10K more and the V8 is 20K.  Regardless, not an Ecoboost fan and don't need all the extras like climate control, leather, and so on.

A functional spoiler on a sports or track ready car is one thing, but on most cars its just a dumb concept and cheapens the look imo.  Paying for something that uglifies your car, blocks rearward vision, creates more drag and traps dirt is so pointless.

I drove both automatic and manual previous-gen 3.7 litre V6 'Stang verts, and I fully expect you will enjoy your new toy. Even stock the sound is pretty good!

You are correct.  Some people "de spoil" their TTs but God help them if they take it to the track.

Nice car Arctic.  I actually like the spoiler.... might be a little piece of plastic but it would be interesting to know if it has a serious aerodynamic purpose.

I'd get Mass Electronics to install heaters in the seats if anything, but I'll just rock it STOCK ... like in the olden days.  :)

Thanks.   Since they stick the same thing on the coupe and convertible, in any trim/engine, and allow customers to delete same, I'm pretty positive it was placed there for marketing/gimmick purposes.

Since you're interested in the 370Z, it has 3 rear spoiler versions.  Base has none other than the shape of the rear hatch, the upper trim has a noticeable one, and the Nismo is larger still.

Not a spoiler type of user, but in the 370 I think it needs one and the upper trim sport units with the 19inch RAYS and big brakes seems to suit the overall car.

The new mustangs are out there.  It takes a bit to notice them.  Easy to figure out from the front, a little harder from the back.

Congrats on the new ride Arctic.

V6 is correct.  For those that do not get the reference; what was known in the business years ago as the Secretary Special was no less than the Mustang V6 automatic ..... just a horrible, horrible car.  :)

Congrats! I too owned the a 2008 black Secretary Special many years back...despite the stigma I do miss cruising around in it.

The 2015 V6 is the best deal out there considering how easy it is to mod.
2019 Mazda 3 GS-L, 2013 Ram 1500 and an EV that cost 5 times what my Mazda3 costs but is louder with a crappier interior.
