Gotta like it when you get waved through at the border after declaring almost $500 worth of car parts.
Guess the border guy liked old Porsches.  ;D

Me and the kid attempted to climb Mt. Athabasca this last weekend.  Weather went to crap and we ended up just exploring the moraines each day as there was basically zero-vis up high.  Blizzard right to the camp level each morning.

This makes me happy?

Yup, a weekend in the mountains with the kid is great, climbing or no.  Also happy that her new climbing layers are really dialed in.  We had a wide range for weather while out hiking - blizzard to 10C and sun and she easily and quickly swapped for any weather we had.

Also happy that we milled about camp during breakfast on Saturday morning with climbing legend Barry Blanchard.  The kid was thrilled to no end about that.

Sounds like an amazing weekend and having breakfast with Barry puts it over the top.

Finding out, after three agonizing months of waiting and living in fear, that your loved one's tumour is actually benign.

I was at work when I found out, and I actually broke down in tears that wouldn't stop.  I'm now home to deal with the adrenaline dump.  Happy doesn't even begin to describe the feeling.

^ Excellent!

It's really terrific to get good news about cancer for a change.

No words to express the feeling.  I've been on the receiving end of both sides of that news.  So glad to hear.

Great news Brig', I've had enough of negative cancer news.

Thanks, all.  :flowers:  We had put a hold on any plans for the summer and beyond, in case there were going to be treatment regimens to follow.  We can now go back to enjoying life.  I'm thinking a road trip of some kind.   :drv2:   :)

That's such awesome news!!   :bounce:    Made my day!  :)

I went through something similar last year.  It made me reconsider a job offer and also part of the reason I bought a roadster.  YOLO.  ;)

Now go have fun!  :skid: 8)

Thanks again!

He's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and he's the type of person who everybody loves.  He has the kindest heart, and yet he's a tower of strength.  I admire him very much, and I'm glad he's going to be around for many more years.

KD, I'll tell him he should get a roadster.  A 'Vette would be his choice, though.   ;D  He's a Chevy guy, through and through.

Oooo... and now it's late enough in the day for a drink.  :D  Cheers!
