Granted, there's no such thing as a "ho-hum" 911, but that example ain't anything special.

And going through autotrader, I am assuming he is looking for a private sale?  Good luck with that. 
Unless maybe some Americans are coming up here with the strong USD?  Even so, 2012 911s are way less than 80K USD.

I looked for 1 second and found this.  Same year..Same car, 1/2 the KMs...cheaper.  I'm sure you might find a newer one for less if you looked.

That's the only '12 991 S on AutoTrader that is cheaper and has fewer KMs.

It might be slightly high but I'd say it's right in the ballpark.

There aren't any '13s that are cheaper, either.

Edit: That's also a very desirable spec. Sport exhaust, adaptive seats, sport chrono, etc. That alone is a good $10k in options.

Yep!  Wouldn't kick it out of my garage.

Though if I was spending $100K, I'd be looking for an older turbo.  Or if I wanted the car to appreciate, a 1996 911.

 I know why it's cheaper    in the specs it says it has a "FIAT 6 cylinder engine"
