It's a 1.6L turbo, not a 1.4L turbo.

Throw me in the camp that doesn't like this rig, unless it's the full on bonkers Juke-R with the GT-R power and drivetrain.

However, I would like to see that 1.6L turbo put into a Micra.  Call it a Nismo Micra, or go old school naming convention and call it a Micra SE-R.

I think that I could find a lot of vehicles that I would rather prefer to put $30G into.

If you put your money into a Sentra, you would have a lot of change left over and a better car IMO.

shouldn't the price as tested be $32,163  ???  Your other reviews show the total of everything listed.

I actually don't mind this weird little insect. Too bad about the go kart transmission on the awd model. I'm also with mixnmash, this motor should go into the Micra, call it a Pulsar GTi-R and call it a day
Lighten up Francis.....

At $20K + freight + tax, the FWD 6MT Juke presents an interesting argument.  It's still weird, but tough to find many vehicles at that price point which are as quick and/or fun.

At $30K+ for the as-tested version (or the Nismo versions), it's so much harder to justify over the comparable competition.

And yeah, the 1.6T in the Micra (or Versa) would be awesome.  But it ain't happening...

Right.  At $20K plus fees, it's a great buy .... under the skin  ;D    The manual is excellent.

Absolutely hideous styling, horrible CVT, zero rear seat room... what's not to love?

This "review" is an embarrassment to the site. It reads like a press release.

As I've commented before, IMO there is nothing attractive about the JUKE inside and out, styling is mismash, it doesn't flow. The VERY attractive CX3 is in a completely different league, way better all around. Hey Nissan, time for a redo.

My thoughts, exactly. There's always a line between journalism and ad copy, and he has crossed the line a bit too noticeably (to the dark side). Reviewers who dare to offer even modest criticism are a precious resource.

So, I really like the Juke, and yet if I write that I really like the Juke, suddenly I'm shilling for Nissan?  ::)

Oldsguy is our resident anti - Japan slappy, and I copped similar criticism when I wrote my own Juke review. For balance, read Jonathan's comments in our sub-compact SUV comparo... He dug in HARD on the Juke. And we ran those comments.

We had a 2011Juke SL. It was not frugal on fuel. 9-10l/100 if I drove it like a granny. It also requires  premium fuel. Fun to drive though.

Anti-Japan Slappy? I thought I was supposed to be an anti-Korean slappy? When all the Greek chorus here does here is attach pejorative names to those that do not agree with the clique's groupthink I guess it is hard to keep track. Regardless, I suggest you look in the mirror, Mr. Black. Between the fawning review last week and your own slobbering fawning over certain favorites, this site has a lot bigger problem than my occasional comment. If you and your reviewers are simply going to rewrite manufacturer press release pap, I'm sure you can save the site owners a lot of money by just skipping the process of actually driving the vehicles.
